We work to promote the importance and eduring legacy of Magna Carta. This includes:
Working with a wide range of organisations in the UK and internationally who have an interest in Magna Carta and/or the values it has inspired
Maintaing the American Bar Association's (ABA) Magna Carta Memorial at Runnymede
Sponsoring the annual Magna Carta lecture at Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL)
Sponsoring the annual Magna Carta Scholarship, awarded and co-funded by the Baronial Order of Magna Charta (BOMC)

Magna Carta Memorial
This memorial was erected in 1957 by the American Bar Association on the site of the sealing of Magna Carta. Click here for more details.
Designed by Sir Edward Maufe, it reflects the role that the Magna Carta has had on American history, including the American Bill of Rights and Constitution.
Annual Magna Carta Lecture
As part of the 2015 legacy programme, Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL) organises an annual RHUL / MCT Magna Carta Lecture series. Sign-up to our newsletter to keep up-to-date with the next event.
Annual BOMC Scholarship
The Baronial Order of Magna Charta (BOMC) created a special scholarship program at a renowned American Law School for a student of high merit who has studied the principles of Magna Carta. The recipient is also expected to be a leader in future efforts to emphasise the importance of Magna Carta. The scholarship is awarded jointly in the name of the Magna Carta Trust and The Baronial Order of Magna Charta.
Education and Resources
The MCT's 800th Anniversary Committee produced and pulled together a wide range of educational resources to help people of all ages learn more about the history and relevance of Magna Carta. Most of these resources are still available online and can be accessed here.
